Recieved this error whilst attempting an internet recovery. No idea what it means, and can't find any reference to it online. Anyone know?
Using a 2012 model MBA 2GHz i7, 8GB, Mountain Lion

ps - to add hillarious insult to injury, this photo is right-side-up on the iphone 5 that i took it with, as well as on my desktop right now, but when i upload it to this forum it does so upside down. ***.

Ok, after making my recovery USB thumb drive (you can make this by downloading the Recovery Disk Assistant tool here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4848) i was able to easily and successfully boot to the recovery disk and enter the operating system recovery tool. This method still requires connection to apple's servers however, in order to download the files required for recovery. I tried this several times, and with every attempt 5 minutes in received another connection error. It was probably the same type of error that i was receiving above, and it looked like this:

Feeling very frustrated, i called apple and after about 20 minutes discussing the problem came up with the idea to try re-setting the NVRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379). This is very simple to do, and it fixed the problem!
I booted from the thumb drive one more time, went through the OS re-install process without a hitch. I did not try the internet recovery without the thumb drive, but i am assuming that reseting the NVRAM would fix this as well.

The error is due to Apple's servers so it has nothing to do with your machine. They can restore it from a usb drive. You can also do it yourself.

I get the same error (also with the inability to boot to a USB recovery disk). I called Apple support and they said they've been seeing that error a bit in the past few days and its new. They suggested it might be something with Apple's servers.

I have tried several more times, i was not experianceing the accumulating task bar that you were. Mine was starting over with each attempt.
I recieved some different failure messsages this time, however.
First, i got a -5010F (18)
then i got a -2102F
and then another -5010F (18)
I gave up, and made a recovery USB stick drive using the recovery disk assistant.

Received almost the same error -5010F (1)
I keep restarting the computer... it looks like the Internet Recovery doesn't restart from the beginning but from where the downloading stopped before the error appeared on the screen.
I have probably restarted my computer at least 20 times already and the gauge seems to keep progressing.
So, finger cross, the problem might be solve after a few couple of restarts. (I'm about 60% now...)
Could it be an Apple server issue?
Using a 2012 model with retina display, 2.4GHz i7, 8Gb, Mountain Lion, 512SSD.
Internet connection: WPA (note that it seems you can't use a WEP connection for an Internet Recovery)
