G4 Powerbook to WPA

Internet and Networking
Hi all
I'm trying to connect an old Powerbook G4 to a WPA network, but there does not appear to be that option on the encryption selection (only several iterations of WEP). Does this mean the card does not support WPA? I've found conflicting information that says it's a software problem and some that says the hardware is just too old.
It's a 1Ghz G4 Titanium powerbook with OSX Tiger. Thanks.

What Knucklesmac said matches my experience, because keeping AirPort up to date allowed WPA to work all the way back to my G3 PowerBook.

Hello,
From what I recall they can connect to WPA provided they have AirPort software version 3.3
Please see this article for further information. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2594
Here is the link to the software: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1219
