TS1368 iPad mini not connecting to the iTunes/App stores

Getting Started
I am setting up my parents iPad mini to the iTunes and App Stores for the first time. But it keeps telling me it cannot connect to the store at this time, please try again later. I don't understand why it isn't working, my iPad is connected just fine.

Just updated my ipad w retina and couldn't access itunes or app store. When I read the info below I thought how is this going to work but believe it or not it did
Open the Settings application on your iPhone, go to “General”
- To correct the error, you need to reset the time and date of the machine: On select “Date and Time”.
- Turn off “Set Automatically”, then switch it on again”.

both of my devices, iPad mini and iPad 3 wouldn't let me connect to iTunes Store, I reset time as suggested above...The iPad works but time zone on mini keeps spinning and still won't let me connect :)) Any other suggestions please

i had the same problem few days ago

i dont know the relation with this error but it worked for me!

I am having absolutely no luck! Thanks bunches for knocking around some ideas though!! Hopefully someone will have an idea what's going on...

ah well try just tapping on the app store icon on your home screen, tap "featured" at the bottom left, and scroll to the bottom of the page, click sign in.
if the page will load :/

That is where I am trying to sign in... It won't connect to the Store to connect the Apple ID to the mini.

try signing out of their apple ID and then signing back in.
settings>itunes an app store> tap apple ID and sign out. sign back in.
if all else fails, try again later.

Yes, it is connected to WiFi and I just did a reset. But every time I try to sign in to the stores, it says "Cannot connect to the store at this time. Please try again later." I did not have this problem when I set up my iPad as I am now having trying to set up this Mini.

do you have the ipad mini connected to wi fi? if so, try just restarting. press the top power button for about 5 seconds until you see "slide to power off"
